Dynamic Drum Microphone for Studio and Stage
The Sennheiser e 904 is a dynamic cardioid microphone built to deliver the full energy of your drum sound. Designed specifically for snares and toms, the e 904 captures full-bodied, transparent tones with fast attack and natural harmonic detail—without getting in the way of your playing.
The e 904 delivers a sound that’s immediately usable—no taming or heavy EQ corrections needed. Lay down sharp rock grooves, smooth jazz fills, or massive pop backbeats—the e 904 provides you a clear, full foundation that engineers and drummers alike can easily shape. Rather than imposing its own character, the e 904 offers a neutral, high-resolution sound you can shape to fit any mix.
Engineered with a wide, consistent frequency response and ultra-fast transient handling, the e 904 captures the true dynamic character of your playing. From the crack of a rim shot to the rich punch of a floor tom, every hit comes through with unmistakable energy.
The e 904 was built to sound great at standard placement. You don’t need to tame or tweak it—just clip it on, and you’re already in the pocket. Its neutral frequency curve makes it a mix-ready starting point for any style, from aggressive rock to refined jazz.
Rugged from the inside out, the e 904 features a reinforced metal housing, shock-mounted capsule, hum-compensating coil, and a sealed internal air chamber. During the design process, Sennheiser engineers even dropped prototypes from 2.5 meters(!) onto steel plates to ensure the e 904 could handle real-world abuse—over and over. Strong enough to take a direct hit from a drumstick without missing a beat, the e 904 dynamic drum microphone keeps your performances powerful, consistent, and uncompromised.
