The MKE 600 is the ideal video camera/camcorder microphone able to handle even demanding filmic challenges. Due to its high directivity, the MKE 600 picks up sounds coming from the direction in which the camera is pointing and effectively attenuates noise coming from the sides and rear. The switchable “Low Cut” filter additionally minimizes wind noise. Because some video cameras/camcorders do not provide phantom power, the MKE 600 can also be battery powered. A battery on/off switch prevents the battery from discharging prematurely; “Low Batt” is displayed.
The MKE 600 is engineered for cinematic audio capture. Whether powered by phantom or AA battery, it integrates seamlessly with DSLRs, camcorders, and boom setups—delivering crisp, focused sound from the moment you hit record.
With its high directivity and low self-noise, the MKE 600 isolates dialogue and minimizes background interference. The switchable low-cut filter helps eliminate rumble and wind noise, making it ideal for location shoots and interviews.
From indie films to news reports, the MKE 600 delivers professional-grade audio in a rugged, lightweight design. Its supercardioid/lobar pickup pattern ensures your subject is always front and center—no matter the environment.
